Research study on gender-affirming surgeries

Paul Kwon, Ph.D. (he, him), Principal Investigator

We are conducting a research study to learn more about the experiences of people who have had (within the past three years), or are seeking in the future, gender-affirming surgery(ies). We hope to learn how the presurgical requirements for these surgeries can be improved so that these surgeries become easier to obtain for people who wish to have them. Participants will be interviewed for approximately one hour by Sydnie Walters, MPH, Gender Affirming Care Program Coordinator at Northern Nevada HOPES, or Ali Macrenaris, LMSW, CHW II. Interviews will be conducted either in person at Northern Nevada HOPES or over videoconferencing. Participants will receive $50 as compensation. You must be a resident of Nevada to be eligible. The study has been approved by the University of Nevada, Reno Institutional Review Board.
